They may be locked in fierce battles on screen, but behind the cameras, Beauty Empire stars Barbie Forteza and Kyline Alcantara are thick as thieves.
The GMA Network revenge drama — also streaming on Viu Philippines — has been heating up, with Barbie’s character Noreen stirring trouble between Velma (Ruffa Gutierrez) and Shari (Kyline Alcantara). But off set, it’s nothing but warmth and laughter between the two Kapuso actresses.
Speaking in an interview, Barbie revealed that her bond with Kyline grew even stronger while filming the hit primetime series.
“Nakakatrabaho ko na po siya dati sa All-Out Sundays, sumasayaw na kami together, nag-spiels na kami together pero ngayon ko lang siya na-experience as an actress,” Barbie said. “She’s very delightful and generous… she’s very genuine when it comes to giving emotions sa eksena. Marunong siyang magtimpla ng eksena at malalim ‘yung hugot niya bilang aktor.”
